FAQs For Design Assistance

Whether your sketch is an intricate pencil drawing, or a scribble on a napkin, we can help bring it to life.  We have experienced designers and illustrators that are capable of  recreating or enhancing your existing design.   Or, we can generate original pieces of art using your design concepts, photo, sketch, or description.  Check out our gallery for more ideas and samples of our design work. We have separated our design services into three categories with rates based on the extent of work each requires.

Design Enhancement:  You have a great design, but need some color changes.  Your logo includes classic clipart, but you’d like them updated to modern clipart.  These are examples of things our enhancement team handles.  Relatively small changes that don’t require extensive research and creative consultations. 

Design Rework:  Sometimes the components of an existing design are not easily altered and require some reconfiguring.  Recreating the same essence of the design, while also improving the overall appeal of the design. 

Design Creation:  Mind blowing design ideas that appeal to your customers and bring your brand to top of mind.  Give us some information about your company, goals and mission, and let us go to work.  We can also help with design concepts. 

In most cases, if you are looking for some slight changes to a design you created on our design tool, or have color changes, those can be made in our Design Enhancement program.  If your logo needs refreshing or minor overhaul our Design Rework would be best for you.  If you are seeking new art, whether from a concept discussion or supplied graphics our Design Creation program would suite you best. If you’re struggling to determine your needs, ask our support staff to see if they can recommend an option.

We always send an electronic proof before going to the production process.  The proof will include the graphic, ink colors, graphic size, and general placement on your selected garment.  Rest assured printing will not begin on your project until the proof is approved.  Keep in mind your project is not progressing until we get the approval back.

We strive for fast turnaround times. Your custom design is typically created within 48-72 hours after receiving payment for the service.  Some art is much more complex than others and can take weeks to get a final product.  How fast you review concept ideas, and instruct us on edits will determine how fast the process goes.

Our artists are som of the best around.  We provide those services to a variety of customers.  Our end goal is to print those design on your apparel.  As an incentive, we offer a 5% rebate, on your apparel order, up to the amount of your art charges. Payment for art services are required prior to our design staff beginning work on your graphic. Once you are satisfied with your design and place your order, the cost of the design service will be deducted based on the rebate schedule. 

Typically, no. Artwork created by our staff is only licensed for use on our site and does not include distribution for other uses.  For a royalty we release vector art files so that clients can use them on websites, and other marketing options not available through T-Shirt Specialty.  This policy pertains to all orders that contain clipart, fonts, redrawn artwork from an upload, designs created through any of our design services and any proofs provided by T-Shirt Specialty.
